Galactic Window
2024

In early winter, the opening of the cave at Cathedral Rocks aligns perfectly with the eastern rise of the Milky Way's galactic core, providing a unique opportunity to photograph the core through the cave's entrance. I was so humbled when I witnessed this meteor travel through the frame as I was capturing this 13-second exposure. This was one of those nights where all the conditions aligned perfectly to create a magic moment.
