A winter scene in Yosemite National Park. The Merced River runs through the middle of the frame and leads the eye towards the mist and imposing cliffs in the background. One of the trees in the scene is unlike the others and adds a splash of colour. Standing in Yosemite Valley and witnessing the incredible views in every direction made me realise that I was standing in one of the most scenic locations on Earth.
